With a knack for crafting simple, smart, super effective and pretty damn sexy pieces of equipment to rest your foot upon, those at Crank Brother have been in the business of forging some of the most sought-after pedals on the market.

Candy Pedal Series

If a man in an oversized trench coat tempted you with promises of this kind of candy, it would be mighty hard to fight the urge to not follow him back to his unmarked black van. With their functionality, durability and overall appeal, the Crank Brothers’ Candy Pedals will leave your foot begging for more sugar.

Candy Pedal 1, $60

Crafted using a forged SCM 435 chromoly steel axle with a one-piece composite body and stamped steel wings that’s beyond durable and strong, the Candy Pedal 1 has an outer sealed cartridge bearing and an inner bushing.

It also features premium brass cleats with 15 or 20 degrees of float and shims for compatibility with different shoe configurations to allow you to customize your candy any which way you please.

Weighing in at a feathery 270g/pair, the Candy Pedal 1 comes with a 2 year warranty and has an overall low-profile design and platform that will always deliver a powerful and efficient pedal stroke time and time around.

Candy Pedal 2, $90

If your mom was around she’d probably say “GET THAT OUTTA YOUR MOUTH,” as for with the Crank Brothers’ decision to coat their redesigned Candy Pedal 2 in a mouth watering metallic orange, you might just be tempted to give it a taste.

The Candy Pedal 2 starts off as two-piece aluminum body made from one single piece of CNC machined metal which makes it more durable, stronger than ever and just as light as their other models.

Giving you 6 degrees of float and coming standard with two bolt cleats that fit any mountain biking shoes, the Candy Pedal 2 comes with the choice of a 15 or 20 degree release angle that allows you to fully customize your pedal no matter the terrain you’re taking your candy on.

One of the most desired qualities of these beauties is their use of brass for the cleats. Not only does this make them slightly softer than the steel used in the retention system of the pedals, but also makes the Candy Pedal 2s beyond affordable without every sacrificing quality.

If you don’t happen to like orange flavored candy, or need to opt diabetic, the Candy Pedal 2 also comes in a glossy silver coat.

Egg Beater Series

While these pedals are some of the most talked about egg beaters on the market, and if used alone, may not work that well in the kitchen, the Crank Brothers’ Egg Beater pedals ain’t your momma’s beater. They’re low-profile pedals that deliver some of the most powerful and efficient strokes you’ll ever take.

Egg Beater 3, $120

Crafted with their exclusive four-sided entry, it may be literally impossible to not find your way into the Egg Beater 3 Pedals.

Slightly a step up and still affordably desirable compared to their Egg Beater 1 and 2 models, the Egg Beater 3 Pedals feature a low-profile that delivers a more powerful and efficient pedal stroke in and out and are forged with a stainless body and spring with steel spindle that adds strength and stability without weighing the overall system down.

With 6 degrees of knee-saving float with a choice of a 15 or 20 degree release angle, the Egg Beater 3 Pedals allow you to truly have a customized fit for whatever trail you’re hitting.

Egg Beater 11, $425

With a full-titanium construction and a stainless steel spring, this combo is the ultimate pair of pedals.

At only 174 grams per pair, an egg is pretty light, but when it comes to a set of top-performing pedals, the Egg Beater 11 Pedals are the lightest in the carton.

The Egg Beater 11 Pedals not only have have titanium bodies, but also wings, and spindles with a stainless steel spring forged for durability and consistent tension—not to mention you will never have to worry about your pedals corroding.

Thanks to their four-sided wing, the Egg Beater 11 Pedals make engaging with your pedals ultra simple, while when clipped in, it rotates either forward or backwards under pressure of your foot to quickly and smoothy engage the cleated bolt to the sole of your shoe, and its needle and cartridge bearings keep the system spinning smoothly.

The Egg Beater 11 Pedals provide either a 15 or 20 degree release angle, depending on the right/left installation, for a customized fit, and the Crank Brothers recommend a 200lb (90kg) rider weight limit.
