With Super Record making its return for 2011, Record no longer occupies the top spot in Campy's line-up, but with its mix of carbon fiber, light alloys, and a bit of titanium thrown in, the Campagnolo Record 11-Speed group would easily top other companies’ ranges. Record joins Super Record in going to 11 speeds, and adopts the same ergonomic hood and lever shape. The front derailleur is now compatible with either compact or standard cranks and still features carbon fiber and aluminum construction. While the rear derailleur doesn’t get the CULT ceramic bearings of Super Record, it does use ceramic bushings to keep things smooth and quiet. The Campagnolo Record 11-Speed group still uses titanium in the cassette, but only for the 3 largest cogs, as opposed to the 6 of Super Record. One piece that carried on largely unchanged from 10 speed Record (and is nearly identical to Super Record) are the brakes, which retain their powerful design but lose the titanium hardware in favor of less expensive light alloy.
