The Campagnolo Vento Reaction Wheelset is Campy’s answer to wheels like the Mavic Ksyrium Equipe. While the Vento Reaction may be a bit heavier, it’s got a few nice perks that the other wheels in its price range lack.
First, the Campagnolo Vento Reaction Wheelset uses conventional J-bend, butted stainless steel spokes - a spoke you can easily get at pretty much every bike shop in the world.
Second, the Campagnolo Vento Reaction Wheelset uses Campagnolo’s super smooth, crazy durable hubs.
Finally, the Vento Reaction is STIFF thanks to Campagnolo’s G3 rear spoke lacing, which uses two drive side spokes for every one non-drive side spoke.
This makes the wheel accelerate, sprint, and corner like wheels costing twice as much. In the case of the Campagnolo Vento Reaction Wheelset, it’s not a case of how much it weighs, but how well it uses its weight to its advantage.
