Description

The Fulcrum Racing 3 wheelset is Fulcrum's go anywhere, do anything wheelset. Light enough to race, strong and affordable enough to train on year-round or put through the rigors of cyclocross racing.

  • 1605 grams per set (not including skewers)
  • 16 front spokes (radially laced), 21 rear spokes (7 non-drive, 14 drive side)
  • Compatible with either Campagnolo 9,10,11 speed or Shimano/SRAM 8,9,10 speed (select Campagnolo or Shimano when ordering)
  • Available in black or silver

Relying on less expensive materials than the Racing Zero and Racing 1, the Fulcrum Racing 3 wheelset is able to accomplish similar performance at a much lower price. The Racing 3 forgoes the aluminum spokes found on the more expensive wheels in favor of tried and true stainless steel. Stainless spokes add a small amount of weight, but they're durable and lend a more "classic" look to the Racing 3. The Racing 3 is Fulcrum's least expensive wheel to use a welded and machined aluminum rim and aluminum hub shells and axles. These wheels lack some of the flash of Fulcrum's pricier wheels, but make no mistake, they're a solid performer in their price range with respectable weight and unparalleled smoothness. As with Fulcrum's Racing Zero and Racing 1, the Fulcrum Racing 3 wheelset does not require rim tape thanks to its MoMag spoke drilling, so the 1605g weight is all there is to it.
