The Hutchinson Atom Tubeless Tire is designed to be a lighter alternative to other UST tubeless road tires. Hutchinson Atom Tubeless Tire saves 20 grams over their popular Fusion 3 UST tire by using a single rubber compound as opposed to three compounds like on the Fusion 3. Sure, it’ll wear a little faster, but it will stick like crazy and ride like a dream, offering a supple ride and 20% less rolling resistance than standard clincher tires. While the Hutchinson Atom UST tubeless tire features a ProTech anti-puncture shield, it is recommended that you run Hutchinson’s Protect’ Air tubeless sealant for further protection and to seal all minor leaks around the bead and throughout the tire. To run the Atom UST in a tubeless configuration, you must have tubeless-compatible rims or an appropriate conversion kit.
