The Mavic Giova Women's Cycling Shoes is a solid offering in a mid-weight and mid-priced shoe. Using Mavic’s Energy Race 2D nylon/glass fiber sole as opposed to a full carbon sole, the Mavic Giova avoids the cost of a carbon sole, which is often not needed for lighter female riders.
Using two velcro straps, a Mavic Ergo Lite Ratchet buckle, and a synthetic heel cup, the Mavic Giova Women's Cycling Shoes keep your foot secure to make power transfer efficient. A synthetic and mesh upper combined with an antibacterial insole keep the Mavic Giova from getting stinky on hot days.
Mavic shoes are a bit on the narrow side and have a lower volume upper, but have a slightly roomier toe box than a Sidi. Mavic’s soles are fairly flat, and the Mavic Giova Women’s Cycling Shoes hold true to that rule.
