The Mavic Huez Cycling Shoes sets the benchmark for lightweight performance road shoes. Pulling out all the stops, Mavic gets the weight of a pair of Huez shoes down to only 195 grams. Bonded panels forgo stitching to save weight and add durability to the upper of the Mavic Huez.
The sole of the Huez is a lightweight, high-modulus 4mm carbon known as the Energy Full Carbon SL and comes with titanium cleat inserts. The Mavic Huez Cycling Shoes is closed an secured by three velcro straps, which keep the weight lower than a ratchet buckle would and are ever 25% lighter than conventional velcro straps thanks to an innovative design.
Mavic shoes are a bit on the narrow side and have a lower volume upper, but have a slightly roomier toe box than a Sidi. Mavic’s soles are fairly flat, and the Mavic Huez Cycling Shoes are no exception.
