By sharing features with its predecessors, Mavic has not only created a performance level set that won't break the bank, but have ideally united quality with functionality.
Thanks to their 24mm rim profile, a low spoke count and the use of bladed stainless steel spokes, the Ksyrium Equipe Wheelset is an aerodynamic powerhouse.
Parting with Mavic's use of FORE drilled rims and thread-in spoke grommets, the Ksyrium Equipe Wheelset 's rims are more traditional single-eyeletted with the spoke holes penetrating the outer wall of the rim, requiring you to use rim strips, and while it uses the identical lightweight FTS-L steel freehub body as the Ksyrium Elite and SL wheels, the Ksyrium Equipe Wheelset uses sealed bearing hubs that lack the on-bike adjustability.
The Ksyrium Equipe Wheelset is also available in a white gloss or metallic silver finish and both the front and real wheels have 20 spokes, where the front are radial and the rear use Mavic's Isopulse lacing with a mixture of radial and crossed spokes for enhanced power transfer.
