Description

The Ridley Crossbow frameset may be Ridley’s entry-level cyclocross frameset, but it’s anything but entry-level. A double-butted 7000 series aluminum frame paired up with a carbon fork with an aluminum steerer would be right at home atop most other companies’ ‘cross lines, but thanks to Ridley’s racing pedigree, you get all that in the Crossbow frameset at a bargain price.

With a slightly more relaxed geometry than the X-Ride, the Crossbow can be likened more to an aluminum version of the X-Fire than a bargain X-Ride. While still being entirely raceable, the Crossbow offers up a ride that’s a bit more road and touring friendly. Further nods to the versatility of the Ridley Crossbow include the use of mounts for not only water bottle cages, but also racks and fenders.

Don’t be fooled by the Ridley Crossbow frameset’s everyday comforts, though, because the Crossbow sees more than its fair share of action on the local ‘cross racing scene. With mud clearance that’d make most monster trucks jealous and predictable handling, the Ridley Crossbow frameset is ready for a beating this fall, and the next, and the next...

The Ridley Crossbow frameset includes frame, fork, headset, and seatpost clamp. You’ll need a 31.6mm seatpost and a 34.9 (35.0mm) front derailleur for your Crossbow.

  • 1618 gram frame
  • Includes headset and seatpost clamp
  • Requires 34.9 (35.0mm) front derailleur
